Please note that this class is AFTER REGULAR CO-OP. Students DO NOT need to participate in the regular co-op to sign-up.

Taught by Chris Arndt, a former competitor in karate.

Using Okinawan karate as a foundation, children will learn some basic fighting principles and techniques, with a dusting of Japanese terminology and traditional etiquette for flavor.  While martial arts of any kind are contact sports, class will be conducted with light to moderate contact only.  We will cover some basic strikes, kicks, takedowns, and counters.
The intention of this class is to give a basic experience and foundation for potential future martial arts training.  Class is mixed age, from 6 to high school.
