Throughout the semester, students will explore a variety of engaging children’s stories and create art projects inspired by the books we read together. Each lesson connects literature and creativity, helping students bring characters, settings, and themes to life through art.
Projects may include:
Painting & Drawing: Watercolor landscapes, canvas self-portraits, and vibrant mixed-media creations inspired by storybook adventures.
3D Crafts & Sculpting: Clay fish, plaster mold projects, and recycled-material egg carton portraits that connect to the stories and characters we explore.
Woodcrafts: Custom-engraved wood ornaments and festive wood turkeys with dangle legs inspired by seasonal and themed books.
Students will experiment with exciting tools and techniques—including bubble wrap printing, pastels, acrylic paint markers, and more—as they transform their favorite stories into unique works of art.
