Taught by native Chinese speaker and teacher Peter Liang. Did you know that Mandarin Chinese is the most spoken language in the world, with over 1.5 billion speakers? Beginning Chinese (grades 3-5) will give students an introduction to language phrases including greetings, introductions, talking about basic needs (food, drink, etc), and elementary conversation. Learning will be accomplished
through listening, speaking, and writing Chinese characters; games, songs, and activities will keep things lively! Classes will also offer tidbits about Chinese history, culture, and daily life. Students might even learn to use chopsticks!
